Book of Remembrance
Historically, books have always been used as a medium for storing information. The inscriptions contained within the pages of the Book of Remembrance can be viewed for many years by future generations.
Each volume of the book contains entries for three months and is open on the corresponding day.
Why have an entry in the Book?
By choosing to have an entry inscribed in the Book, the individual is not only having a memorial that is permanent, but is remembering their loved one in a personal and unique way.
This personal touch is achieved by the individual being able to choose exactly how they want their entry to look. All of the following can be determined by the individual when placing an entry: the inscription; the colour of ink used for the capital letters in the inscription (either blue or red); the date the entry is to appear in the book (this doesn’t have to be the date of death but instead could be a birth date, or an anniversary); and an emblem or other artwork that may be special to the family.
